Islami Andolon Bangladesh organized a mass rally in Nagarpur of Tangail with the aim of establishing an Islam-based welfare state to meet the expectations of the people's peace and emancipation of the people, the arrest of the corrupt, the confiscation of illegal assets and their disqualification from the election, the demand for the parliamentary elections in a proportional manner.
Nagarpur upazila unit of Islami Andolon Bangladesh organised the rally at Nagarpur Government College ground yesterday afternoon.
On this occasion, supporters of the Islamic movement started arriving at the meeting venue with small processions from different regions from noon. Later, the Nagarpur Government College ground became crowded.
Nayeb-e-Ameer of the Islami Andolon said those who were in power since 1971 could not reflect the hopes and aspirations of the people. They destabilized the country through rule, exploitation, torture, oppression and plunder. They have seen the glory of being champion five times in a row in corruption. Finally, in 2024, the people of this country liberated the country again in the movement of the students and people.
The Nayeb-e-Ameer of the Islami Andolon also said that peace cannot come to the country only by changing the party and the leader. As long as there is no change in justice and principles, it will not be able to reflect the peace, discipline and aspirations of the people of the country.
